“You could have known this would happen…”
Why Organizations Fall Victim to Known Cybersecurity Weaknesses
When we think of cyber incidents and hacks, we often picture attackers exploiting exciting new vulnerabilities to harm their victims. However, the reality is quite different. The vast majority of cyber incidents happen because attackers take advantage of known vulnerabilities — often ones for which patches have been available for months — or because employees clicked on something they shouldn’t have. This issue has been recognized for more than a decade. So, why are we still unable to address these well-known problems? Why hasn’t the market provided adequate solutions?
In this webinar, we break down these issues to understand why we misunderstand the underlying causes. This is the starting point for actions that can help organizations protect themselves.
