Toni Sushanth Uppalapati is a student from Germany. He participated in the online course Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Pack Design. Read about his experience.

Why did you choose to enroll in this course/programme?
In my previous experience working at Infineon, I investigated complex impedance measurements of Li-ion cells, which sparked my interest in battery technology. I chose to enroll in this course to brush up and deepen my knowledge in this area, particularly in understanding the overall BMS architecture and strategies for better usage of batteries.

How did/will this course impact your career or life?
What I found most valuable was getting to know about emerging technologies such as thermal management, digital twin, edge AI, and wireless BMS.

How was your learning experience?
The course is so structured that even beginners can understand. The assignments helped me to improve my logical analysis. One area I found challenging was thermal management. As I come from electrical background, this topic was slightly harder for me to understand (heat transfer mechanisms specifically.)

If you’d recommend this course to others, tell us why and share any advice for future learners.
For the people who would like work or working in the area of BMS, this course can provide a good guidance to the various topics.
