What was your motivation for enrolling in this course/program?Being a Colombian water engineer, I chose to enroll in this course because I wanted to stand out as a professional in a market where expertise in this area is both rare and highly valuable. Having already worked with micropollutants, I recognized that this course would not only reinforce my existing knowledge but also provide me with specialized skills that could give me a competitive edge.
How did/will this course impact your career or life?
This course aligns perfectly with my career trajectory, as I am committed to continuing and deepening my work in this field. It represents a strategic step to enhance my qualifications and position myself for future opportunities in a niche but increasingly important area of environmental science, especially for areas such as Colombia where this topic is not well addressed.
How was your experience of learning online?
What I found most rewarding about the course was the quality and relevance of the course material. The fact that it was closely linked to an ongoing research project ensured that the content was current and reflected the latest advancements in the field, which significantly enriched my learning experience. However, I would have appreciated more opportunities for interaction with tutors and peers, as I believe dialogue is essential for challenging assumptions and fostering deeper understanding, especially when all the enrolled professionals have different backgrounds and nationalities. Additionally, the user experience with the online platform was not always intuitive and occasionally made navigation and engagement more difficult than necessary.
What advice would you give someone who is thinking of taking a similar course?
I would definitely recommend this course to others, especially those looking to deepen their understanding of this important and evolving topic. My advice for future learners would be to stay engaged, make the most of the resources provided, and actively seek opportunities to connect with instructors and peers to enrich the learning experience even further.
