What was your motivation for enrolling in this course/program?
My motivation for enrolling in this program is to understand the road safety scenario outside of India. I wanted to connect with international road safety professionals and to learn best practices to tackle shared challenges in low- and middle-income countries and gain a stronger foundation for advocating for evidence-based road safety policies and infrastructure improvements within India.

How did/will this course impact your career or life?
Road safety challenges are universal but approaches and solutions can vary significantly according to regional contexts, infrastructure, and socio-economic factors. Seeing the road safety course syllabus reinforced my belief that enrolling in an international course like the one offered by TU Delft exposes us to diverse perspectives, cutting-edge research and best practices from around the world which enhances our professional credibility. This global outlook can enrich our understanding and equip us with adaptable strategies that could be applied effectively to the Indian context. The course can also equip us with the knowledge and skills to address future challenges, like the rise of autonomous vehicles and changing traffic patterns.

How was your experience of learning online?
The best thing that I loved about this course is that it is self-paced. The graded assignments and exercises were moderately challenging and required critical thinking skills and attention to detail to complete. Also, reading forum discussions made me understand the variety of road safety scenarios of the countries and cities of my fellow participants.

What advice would you give someone who is thinking of taking a similar course?
Just go for it!
