What was your motivation for enrolling in this course/program?
With the reset we are about to experience due to COVID-19, many young professionals see the necessity of upgrading our skills. I realized that AI was something I needed to continue to be valued in the manufacturing and import/export Industry. Also, I am acquainted with the Dutch culture and admire its pragmatism.

My motivation was to stay competitive in an ever changing business world and If possible stay one step ahead of the game. There are definitely better career prospects for those who are skilled in new technologies and AI is increasingly important for more industries than in the past.

How did/will this course impact your career or life?
I see this course as the beginning of greater things. I trust that the TU Delft approach will benefit me in many more ways than if I had taken the course elsewhere. I am confident that when the time is right, with all that it entails to implement AI, I will have the skills to work with it and to better monitor the reporting and manufacturing processes as they evolve.

This course helped me to have a solid foundation. One doesn't become an AI expert overnight but this course is a great start.

How was your experience learning online?
Learning online isn't for everyone but the ability to learn new things is essential to succeed in today's work environment. I think online learning is slowly growing on me. I like the selection of topics for this particular course and encourage people to stay disciplined with whatever online course they take. This course is easy to access from most devices.

What advice would you give someone who is thinking of taking a similar course?
I would advise watching documentaries, finding books and researching your industry prior to enrolling so that you can assimilate the concepts faster and understand the context much better. I advise you to get acquainted with the basic concepts of ML and to have good command of at least one programming language to get the greatest benefit from the course. Without those you can still succeed but you will get more insights with them.
