Free Courses: MOOCs for all!
MOOC: Massive Open Online Courses
MOOCs are freely accessible and open-licensed short courses, delivered to large groups of learners fully online. TU Delft has reached more than 3 million enrollments in its MOOCs across a broad range of subject areas. The MOOCs form part of TU Delft's commitment to open education and allow learners from all around the world, students as well as lifelong learners, to gain access to TU Delft's knowledge and expertise.
TU Delft MOOCs:
Typically patterned on campus courses;
Open to all, with no entry requirements;
Average workload of 4-8 study hours per week;
24/7 online access through edX platform and mobile app.
Due to the massive nature of the MOOC, the community plays an important role in the learning experience. In addition to traditional course materials such as videos, readings, and problem sets, our MOOCs provide interactive user forums and peer assessments that help facilitates discussions between learners.
TU Delft offers learners to earn a certificate through edX which demonstrates that they have finished the course successfully. Many of our learners use these certificates in their CV and their social media profiles to help them to find a job. Read more stories of our learners.
