Bio

Tineke Ruijgh is an assistant professor in the Policy Analysis section of the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management. She coordinates and teaches two capstone, project-oriented courses in the SEPAM Bachelor and Masters programs. Both courses challenge students to address real-world problems in socio-technical systems, either by problem-structuring and carrying out quantitative research or by making an integrated design. She supervises MSc theses in the field of water resources management and infrastructure design.

Her area of expertise is: problem structuring, design thinking, adaptive policy making, and integrated water management. Tineke gained experience in policy-making as an executive member of the local water board and as policy advisor in councils advising on infrastructure and environment issues (1999-2015).
