Bio
Samantha Eleanor Tanzer is an assistant professor and Delft Technology Fellow in the Department of Engineering Systems and Services in the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at the Delft University of Technology, from where she also holds a PhD and, jointly with Leiden University, a Masters of Industrial Ecology. She researches the complexities of greenhouse gas accounting for carbon dioxide removal systems such as biomass with carbon capture and storage and direct air capture.
In 2022 and 2023, Samantha worked at the European climate policy NGO Bellona Europa, focusing on the governance of carbon dioxide removal, on which topic she continues to advise national and international governments and organisations.
