Michał van Hooft studied a double BSc in mathematics and in physics and continued with a MSc in theoretical physics at Utrecht University. Before joining QuTech, Michał worked at Ibeo Eindhoven on sensor simulations.

Michał joined QuTech in 2023 as the Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA) Simulation Engineer and works on the simulation tools: SquidASM and the collection of packages colloquially called the NetSquid-snippets.
