Bio
Mark Theunissen is a lecturer at the Ethics and Philosophy of Technology Department of the Delft University of Technology.
He has received an MSc in mathematics and MA in philosophy from the University of Amsterdam and a PhD in philosophy from the New School of Social Research focused on the philosophy of social science.
In New York, Mark worked for 5 years as a lecturer at the department of Strategic Design and Management at The New School’s Parsons School of Design, working on topics ranging from leadership and business ethics to design ethics and ethics of data visualization. He also worked (2020-21) as co-curator and lead interactive design for the exhibition space of the Jones Beach Energy and Nature Center in Long Island, New York.
Currently his research focuses on AI ethics, philosophy of data, and the ethics and epistemology of design and engineering practices.
