Bio

As part of my PhD at KU Leuven, I worked on subject-specific biomechanical modelling of movement, specifically calculating loading of the hip joint. As a postdoc at KU Leuven, I also focused on multiscale and finite element modelling of the hip and knee. During my postdoc at TU Delft, I worked on subject-specific multiscale modelling in knee osteoarthritis, for which I strongly collaborated with Erasmus MC.

Currently I continue to work on subject-specific biomechanical models in knee osteoarthritis. Specifically, I work on a project evaluating a wearable device, the WalkWell Gait reTrainer, which is used for personalized gait retraining to improve daily life for knee osteoarthritis patients.
