Joris Hoekstra is specialized in social housing, housing policy and international comparative housing research. He works as a senior researcher at TU Delft and is a visiting professor at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein (South Africa).

Joris also serves as managing editor of Journal of Housing and the Built Environment and is editor of Urban Studies Research.
