Bio
John van den Dobbelsteen is a professor of Medical Process Engineering at Delft University of Technology. His research primarily focuses on the design of medical technology for minimally invasive interventions and the enhancement of the interaction between surgical staff and medical technology with the aim of improving the safety and efficiency of surgical procedures.
Besides his professorship at TU Delft, he is also Medical Delta professor at Leiden University Medical Center and Erasmus Medical Center. Additionally, he serves as the director of studies of the Clinical Technology and Technical Medicine program at these institutions.
