Fer Grooteman (ir.) graduated from the University of Twente in 1993 with a degree in computer science. Since then he has extensive professional experience in software engineering and has held various roles in many software projects in different domains. His special interests are software engineering processes and high-quality software development. 

In 2018 he started working for QuTech as lead of the software development support team working on the public-facing products as demonstrators like Quantum Inspire and Quantum Network Explorer and generic high demanding software used by many within the research institute.
