Bio
DirkJan Veeger is professor of musculoskeletal mechanics. He specializes in the biomechanics of the upper extremity, related to the quantification of injury risks. His research focuses on the relationship between structure and function applied to sports (wheelchair sports, tennis, baseball) as well as clinical applications (joint or tendon replacement).
DirkJan is co-founder and past chair of the International Shoulder Group, a technical group of the International Society of Biomechanics.
