Chujie Lu is a postdoc researcher with the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at TU Delft, the Netherlands. He concentrates on implementing advanced artificial intelligence and data science within practical applications in the building industry to achieve sustainable development goals. Currently, he is actively participating in the Brains4Buildings project sponsored by the Dutch grant program for Mission-Driven Research, Development and Innovation.

Chujie has a multidisciplinary background with a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a B.Eng. in Building Environment and Energy Engineering. His doctoral research focused on intelligent computing techniques for energy efficiency in occupant-centric buildings. During his Ph.D. study, he was a visiting scholar at Carleton University, Canada, and Umeå University, Sweden. Chujie is the (co)author of more than 10 publications. He also serves as a reviewer for several prominent academic journals (e.g., Energy and Buildings, Building Simulation, Journal of Building Engineering, Engineering Applications of Computational Fluid Mechanics, etc.) and a scientific committee member for international academic conferences.
