Bio
Chris Ventura Meinersen is a PhD Researcher in the Rimbach-Russ group within the Quantum Computing Division at QuTech, TU Delft.
Building a quantum computer not only requires precise experimental work and expertise, but also a deep understanding of the microscopic and emergent phenomena of the quantum world. The Rimbach-Russ group aims to provide a necessary bridge between the abstract concepts in quantum information theory and the applications of these in different experimental tasks thereby driving the transition from prototype to practical quantum computers.
Currently, Chris is interested in optimizing the process of initializing and measuring qubit states, which are necessary steps in realizing real quantum algorithms. In his work, he focuses on exploiting the quantum-geometric structure of the underlying Hilbert space describing the quantum processors to create population transfer protocols, which ultimately aids the conversion of spin information into measurable charge information in a process called spin-to-charge conversion.
