Cees Haringa obtained his BSc and MSc in Chemical Engineering from TU Delft. His PhD concentrated on the interaction between hydrodynamics and metabolic dynamics in industrial fermentors in a project conducted with TU Delft, ECUST Shanghai, DSM-Sinochem pharmaceuticals, and Shanghai Guojia Ltd and was awarded the ‘DECHEMA Industrial Bioprocess Award 2018’. He has worked as an industrial scientist at DSM for three and a half years. Since 2021, he is an Assistant Professor with a focus on education at the Biotechnology department of TU Delft. 

His teaches basic thermodynamics and programming in the BSc Life Science and Technology, and modeling and computation in the MSc. In addition, he is active in postgraduate courses and MOOCs involving industrial bioprocessing and process modelling.
