Bio

Bernadette Lang-Eurisch is a researcher at the Institute of Structural Mechanics and Design at the Technical University of Darmstadt, and part of the 'Energy Efficiency in Construction' research group. She holds dual Master's degrees in Architecture and in Energy Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on innovative strategies for sustainable building design, with an emphasis on façade greening and the integration of environmental impact assessment with microclimatic analysis for urban planning.

Her work includes lifecycle analysis of buildings, considering circularity and material cycles throughout the entire lifecycle, as well as the development of design-for-disassembly techniques to promote the reuse of building components. She has coordinated and contributed to several research projects, including the development of energy-efficient technologies, circular façade systems, and sustainability assessment tools, with a focus on dismantling and environmental impact throughout building lifecycles.
